We would like to provide some clarification regarding the deposit process at Incognito Market. It is crucial to read and follow the guidelines to comprehend the malicious intent of the FUD, and to ensure successful deposits.

Firstly, we advise against depositing via BTC if you are not certain that your transaction will receive at least one on-chain confirmation within twelve hours. In such cases, we recommend exchanging to XMR before depositing as XMR has a payment ID mechanism and lower transaction fees. Please note that the entry linking BTC addresses assignments to users are deleted after time expiry to enable reassignment. Since scanning all addresses for half a million active users is time-consuming and not considered an option, expiring addresses that timed out increases the speed of scanning new deposits by at least 12000%

It is important to note that our XMR payment IDs are assigned permanently and do not expire. We encourage users to use XMR instead of BTC to avoid any issues related to the expiry of BTC addresses.

We want to remind users to read and understand the guidelines before making any deposits. Crying to journalists won't resolve any issues that arise from not following the guidelines. It is the responsibility of the users to ensure they have read and followed the guidelines, including the large red banner and popup modal on the deposit page that states the information that deposits are only credited after receiving at least one on-chain confirmation, and that for BTC deposits, it has to happen within twelve hours.

If your deposit is missing, there are several possible reasons. Firstly, you might be on a phishing link, and we advise users to PGP-verify their mirror and only use reputable sources. Secondly, if your BTC transaction does not receive a network confirmation within the specified twelve-hour time limit, the system will not recognize it. Please note that this has nothing to do with the timestamp when the transaction is sent or the time when you request a withdrawal on an exchange. Thirdly, if your transaction is an XMR transaction, please click rescan manually after one on-chain confirmation on the transaction. Finally, your transaction might not have been picked up by our systems yet, and it typically takes up to ten minutes for the data to be displayed on your account after confirmation.

Please note again that we are not responsible for any missing deposits if BTC transactions do not achieve one confirmation within twelve hours. It is the user's responsibility to ensure that the transaction meets the requirements. We recommend that users refrain from sending coins directly from an exchange and instead send them to their own wallet before sending.
